The First Annual Duckies
INTRODUCING “THE DUCKIES”
A sports media awards program that acknowledges the work that goes into making great content by celebrating the people who do that hands-on work… without any of the “suits” spoiling a good time. This is a chance to spotlight industry up-and-comers and their best work with peers who know great content when they see it.
Organized by Blue Duck Media, The Duckies are open to anyone and everyone who works in this great big industry of ours, with categories recognizing everything and everyone from Best Guest Booker and Best PA to Best Photoshop, Best On-Air Blooper and everything in between. The goal is to recognize the work that is often overlooked at the typical industry award events. No offense to regular winners like Tom Rinaldi, the TNT guys and Gameday, but this is about the people helping them - and so many others - behind the scenes.
Entries are now open, and cost considerably less than the awards the bosses fight over. Now through October 9th, you can enter for only $99 (and if you’re self-funding, email us and we’ll give you a promo code to take 50% off that). After that, prices jump to $149 on October 10th, then $199 on October 31st — with the final deadline to submit set for November 30th.

This will all culminate with a real event in LA in February (more details to come), but instead of three hours of suits patting themselves on the back, it’ll just be people getting drinks at a bar and celebrating each other’s great work.
